HYDERABAD/ KARACHI: Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) chief Altaf Hussain said on Tuesday that new provinces should be created to ensure equitable distribution of country's resources, Express News reported.

Addressing MQM Rabta Committee, he said that to do away with the sense of inferiority among various communities in Pakistan, the move to create new provinces was essential.

Asserting that administrative units needed to be created at a war footing, MQM chief said that an All Parties Conferences should also be called to decide on such matters.

He added that if new provinces were formed, it would add to the well-being of the state.

Touching upon the rapid increase in population, Altaf said that new provinces was the need of the hour.

Bringing his address to a close, he said that in order to resolve differences between communities it was essential that "realistic" polices are developed and implemented.

Shortly after Altaf Hussain's address, MQM leader Farooq Sattar said that in order to resolve the challenges facing the country, "there's no harm in creating more administrative units and no harm in creating more provinces."

He said that MQM chief has asked for one more APC to be called because, "one conference was not enough."

Sattar said that the next APC should focus on the day-to-day problems faced by the citizens such as increase in prices and unemployment.
