LAHORE:

Punjab Assembly Member Dr Nosheen Hamid Miraj, the chair of the Pakistan Tehreek-i-Insaf (PTI) Punjab Flood Relief Committee, and her team visited a village in Sheikhupura to establish a medical camp for the treatment of flood victims on Saturday.

Patients coming to the camp were given free check-ups and treatment.

The PTI officials also distributed food among the flood victims.

Dr Miraj said that the PTI would set up similar camps in all areas of the district where there was a threat of an outbreak of waterborne diseases.

Also on Saturday, members of the PTI’s Violence Against Women Forum visited the house of a woman who was allegedly set on fire by her in-laws because she brought a small dowry.

The PTI members told the aggrieved family they would provide legal support in their case against the woman’s in-laws.
