Triple Murder: Man sentenced to life in prison

Anti Terrorism Court (ATC) Judge awarded three times life imprisonment to a man accused of triple murder.

FAISALABAD: Anti Terrorism Court (ATC) Judge Ishtiaq Ahmad on Thursday awarded three times life imprisonment to a man accused of triple murder. Civil Lines police said Abbas Ali Shah, a resident of Chak 237-RB, and his son, Aun Abbas, had opened fire at his rivals when they had come to Faisalabad to appear at the ATC on October 12, 2009. Three men, Ghulam Abbas, Samar Shah and Qamar Shah, had died on the spot. Four men, including a police constable, had been injured. The convict was also directed to pay a Rs300,000 compensation to the bereaved family. His son was acquitted on benefit of doubt.
