Upcoming elections: JI to initiate election campaign soon
Syed Munawar Hasan requests nation to observe ‘Youm-e-Dua’ [prayer day] on Friday, March 22, due to current turmoil.
KARACHI:
The Jamaat-e-Islami (JI) will initiate its election campaign in the metropolis soon, announced the party on Wednesday. It said that the election commission has allotted the symbol-scale, to Jamaat-e-Islami.
The names of the JI candidates for the national and provincial assemblies’ seats are being finalised. JI Syed Munawar Hasan has requested the nation to observe a ‘Youm-e-Dua’ [prayer day] on Friday, March 22, due to the current turmoil across the country from Karachi to Peshawar.
