KARACHI: Rangers arrested at least 13 suspects during a search operation in the Surjani Town area of Karachi on Saturday and sealed a factory producing local bombs, reported Express News.
Security personnel recovered as much as 25 kilogrammes of explosives and a huge cache of arms and ammunition from the suspects. Five locally-made bombs embedded in cricket balls were also recovered.
Rangers said that the factory was located with the help of sniffer dogs.
On Thursday, the police claimed to have arrested the prime suspect in the Abbas Town blasts along with his two accomplices. The suspects were allegedly associated with Tehreek-i-Taliban Pakistan (TTP).
Police and Rangers have been carrying out several search operations in volatile areas across the city in an effort to apprehend those responsible for the rising violence in the Karachi.

Atlast they are taking some action, But I don't know why Media is not glorifying the action like they do for Target Killings its a shame, Rangers and Police need more resilience with support of public and media to flush out terrorists from all No Go Areas found in Lyari, Sohrab Goth, Banaras, Quaid a Baad, New Sabzi Mandi Area, Orangi Town every karachites knows these savages hiding specially in these areas. I wish there will be speedy justice and they were be hanged, we don't need more excuses.
Who even knows whether these are the real criminals or just some stoolies that police is using to show efficiency.
We have seen these operations in the past as well. Has any one of these barbarians been sentenced to death? No, I don't think so! What we have seen is the release of these blood thirsty hounds either by their accomplices in an ambush on jails where they are kept or by our authorities in the name of peace dialouges.
The government is just playing with the lives of Rangers and police personnel to befool the public about how serious they are in countering terrorism and crime. Public security and interest has never been a priority of our so-called Democratic government, it's just an election move!
So finally after years of target killing and bombing this factory found/sealed. Who knows that the culprits shown/identified in this news will be released after election ...as there will be no evidence against them...and the court needs evidence to proof that they are terrorists and target killers....
I don't understand that why the crackdown did not happen during the last 5 years, the blood bath continued...the 'Nasal Kashi' of urdu speaking population was on full swing...and also the businessmen were looted/plundered...and for your kind information the 'Bhatta' was used to finance the terrorist activities in Karachi....
Suddenly the success stories are coming to the newspapers on daily basis...one target killer arrested...bomb plotters arrested...gang war head killed in encounter...to me the action is not being taken to protect people but to protect the vested interests of the ruling elite/politicians...after the election the same game of 'Killing' will restart.. I bet you.
The Rangers should have identified the top 3 leaders of the gang and shot down the remaining at the site, claiming retaliation.
They should be hanged in public.
