At least two members of the security forces were killed and three others were injured when a bomb planted by the roadside exploded in Dogar, central Kurram Agency.
An official said that the incident occurred while the troops were patrolling the area on Monday afternoon. Their vehicle hit the explosive device, killing Lieutenant Syed Abbas and security official Rizwan on the spot.
Following the explosion, the security forces launched a search operation in the area and at least eight suspected persons were arrested.
