IED blast injures lady health worker

Blast shook the office of National Programme for Health, effected the nearby office of Lady Health Workers as well.

KHYBER AGENCY: A lady health worker sustained minor injuries when an explosive device went-off in a hospital in Jamrud on Tuesday.  

Agency Surgeon Dr Seman Shinwari told APP that lady health worker Samia sustained minor wounds when an explosive device went off at the office of National Programme for Health (NPH).

The NPH is closely located to the local office of Lady Health Workers. The LHW centre also sustained damage from the blast.

Shinwari said that Samia was shifted to the Hayatabad Medical Complex, Peshawar for treatment. He also assured that Samia's condition was now stable.

The Assistant Political Agent Jamrud, Jehangir Azam Wazir and other officials of political administration rushed to the spot and started investigation.
