Academicians, scientists, engineers and students are expected to discuss a number of subjects, including robotic systems for the detection of mines, explosives and obscure targets, at the conference.
“Sensing technology has never been focused on in Pakistan,” lamented Rehan Adil, an assistant professor at the university’s engineering department.
He also expressed the hope that the conference would provide a platform for greater investment in the field.
The deadline to register for the conference is February 18 and that to submit a summary of the research that the applicant is expected to present at the conference is March 15, he added.
