Second phase: 8,500 students to get laptops

The CM will also give 6,012 solar panels among the talented students of schools.

The Punjab government distributed 125,000 laptops during last year, with plans to distribute the same number of laptops this year.

ISLAMABAD:


CM Sharif will distribute laptops among 8,500 students from Rawalpindi division and Islamabad at two functions, said a press release issued by the provincial press information department.


Rawalpindi Division Colleges Director Prof Humayun Iqbal said that list of 1,325 students of Fatima Jinnah Women University, Pir Mehr Ali Shah Arid Agriculture University, University of Engineering and Technology, Taxila, Government Postgraduate College for Girls and Boys, Satellite Town, Government Postgraduate College Asghar Mall and Government Gordon College has been prepared for the ceremony.

The ceremony will begin at Fatima Jinnah Women University at 9:30am. As many as 6,175 laptops will also be distributed among students of colleges and universities at Jinnah Convention Centre, Islamabad at 3pm. The CM will also give 6,012 solar panels among the talented students of schools.
