PML-Q suffers shock: Ghous Bux Mahar joins Functional League

Expresses full confidence in leadership of Pir Pagara.

Pakistan Muslim League-Q suffered a major shock on Wednesday when its provincial president for Sindh, Ghous Bux Mahar formally announced joining Pakistan Muslim League –Functional (PML-F) along with his two sons, MPA Shaharyar Mahar and Arif Mahar.


Addressing a joint press conference with PML-F chief Pir Pagara Pir Sibghatullah Shah Rashdi who called on him at his residence, Mahar said, PML-F has always stood for the rights of people of Sindh; therefore, “I express my full confidence over the leadership of Pir Pagara.”

Mahar said he along with 47 office bearers of PML-Q have joined functional league.

Pir Pagara said that PPP leaders have stooped to selling jobs in black market. “What will happen to this country when the post of a sweeper sells for a quarter million rupees?”

He said that PML-F will contest general elections jointly with opposition parties and try to form the government.

“If at all we are unable to form the government, Functional would serve the people by remaining in the opposition,” Pir Pagara said adding .

PML-F is coordinating with all the parties like PML-N, JUI and Jamaat-e-Islami and will contest polls through a grand electoral alliance, he said.
