Lower Kurram Agency: One killed, three injured in roadside blast

Injured taken to Sadda Headquarters Hospital.

HANGU: One person was killed and another three injured when an improvised explosive device (IED) planted at a road side in Bagan area of Lower Kurram Agency exploded on Saturday. An official of the political administration from Sadda, headquarters of Lower Kurram, said a family was en route to Sadda from Bagan at around 7:35am when a roadside bomb exploded near their car in Kechrai area. He added the vehicle was destroyed due to the impact of the explosion, which killed one passenger identified as Muhammad Janan, and left three of his family members, including his wife and mother, critically injured. The injured were taken to Sadda Headquarters Hospital, while Kurram Levies personnel cordoned off the site to start a search operation, said the official.
