ATTOCK: The 544th birth anniversary celebrations of Guru Nanak have begun at Gurdwara Sri Punja Sahib in Hassan Abdal and will conclude on Saturday. Thousands of Sikh yatrees, including 3,000 Indian Sikhs, are participating. The yatrees have been provided boarding, mess, medical and banking facilities. Elaborate security arrangements have been made and as many as 1,000 police personnel are deployed in the area.  While talking to PBC, yatrees expressed satisfaction over the arrangements made for their convenience. Assistant Commissioner Hassan Abdal Munawar Hussain said that authorities are taking special care to ensure that yatrees do not feel insecure or alienated during their stay in Pakistan.
