Heard and Depp are said to have been in relationship since latter parted ways with long time girlfriend Vanessa Paradis in June this year.
“They have said ‘I love you’. Amber was telling people they are officially together,” Us Weekly magazine quoted a source as saying.
The two were even seen cozying up at a party recently.
“They were flirty and engaged,” a source said.
Deep was in relationship with Paradis for 14 years and has two children daughter Lily-13 and son Jack- 10.

I don't like Johnny Depp that much but I have the biggest girl crush on Amber. I hope this isn't true, cause he is so old and also he has two kids. And his kids are not babies one of them is a teenager and Amber is like 13 years older than his kids....That's insane! She is not ready to be like a mom figure She's still a kid at heart and she deserves to be. But, Amber's into older people. Her last girlfriend was 11 years older than her...but Johnny is just, too old!!!

@ezk: I didn't say that Johnny never loved Vanessa. Of course he felt something about her when he met her. He was depressed at that moment, as he said once. He had just ended his relationship with Kate Moss. So, that exotic woman appears with her beautiful back, and beautiful eyes and she's completely into him. So, she says "hi" and smiles to him. And then he fall in ...love(?). Maybe yes, maybe not. At the time we meet someone interesting we all immediately think it's love, but only time can show it. For me, in this case, it seems much more physical attraction than true love (on his part). And it doesn't last. They had not time before she got pregnant to figure it out and understand their own feelings about each other. But Johnny fell in love with the ideia of being a Father, he wanted it so much. He loved her as the Mother of his children, but it wasn't enough. That strong feeling/atraction that existed in the begining died slowly with time, I think. So, from that moment Johnny stayed with her only for the kids, in my opinion. Other serious mistake that I've seen is people saying he stayed with her for 14 years. We don't even know for sure when they actually broke up. Johnny has confirmed it in June but they were already separated for a while. We don't know if the split happened in 2010 or 2011. But I'm sure that they began this year (2012) already and completely separated. That's why it's not fair calling Johnny and Amber that "names", you know...
@NoMoreDepp: How exactly did you get the idea that his was promoting a "family man" persona? I never saw him do that. He happened to be in a relationship with a woman and then had 2 children with her and then stayed with her for several years. I never saw some kind of "pretending to be a family man". I believe that was your own projection. Maybe it is not a good idea when fans turn the stars they admire into some kind of "role model" for their life. These stars are only human afterall.

He was invited to do it, he loves that character (he always says that Edward Scissorhans is his favorite character) and he uses to watch FG with his kids. So accepted the inviting to do it. Simple like that. And besides, he IS still a “family guy” (his kids live with him). And he IS authentic! When his relationship with the Mother of his kids did not work anymore and he realized that he was trying to keep a lie, he ended it and moved on, giving a lot of money and two houses (one in France and other in LA) to his ex. That’s what an authentic man does. And Ill say once more: he IS a family guy and this has not to do with POTC franchise. Yes, it is a product, but which blockbuster isn’t? Money really hasn’t change him. All people who KNOW him say that all the time: he is simple, humble, normal, down on Earth, he talks to everyone without any arrogance. I'm happy for you that you enjoy being an unconditional fan. I don't appreciate being called a hater. A hater would trash him on every account. I'm just appalled at the irony of "authentic" poser "family man." It is almost as if he recently laughed in our faces by doing a reprisal of Edward Scissorhands for the comedy Family guy.
I personally don't care what is going on in his personal life. I take exception with an actor who claims to be authentic and winds up a poser. For someone who vehemently belabored the point of authenticity and how he was not the 21 Jump Street "product," I am greatly disappointed that he sold me the new product and kept up the charade of "family man" for the POTC money. And to see him on Larry King saying how the money has not changed him! He goes on to say he is still the same guy who pumped gas. He was the guy you told your children about as the lone Hollywood role model, who made early mistakes and did things differently by valuing his family above all else ---just like Mom and especially Dad.
Now I know how parents of young boys felt when Michael Jordan's affairs came out. I have more respect for Russell Brand's public persona as authentic. With Russell you know from the get go that it is adults only.
And, Lily Rose dresses considerably different than her age mate peers, not that that would make it OK. I can see why Vanessa made the comment that her children are already grown.
@NoMoreDepp: I'm a fan and a TRUE fan. I don't judge my favorite artist. Instead, I'll always support him in his decisions, because it's HIS life and he has the right to live it as he wants. First: he NEVER said Vanessa was his soulmate or whatever. SHE said that and if some of HIS "fans" bought it, it's not his fault, it's YOUR fault, "fans"! He was a gentleman to Vanessa but he never said it was forever. He always talked about how things in life mostly are NOT forever. "Infinitum Nihil" means "nothing is forever", don't you know, guys? Remember people that Johnny only ANNOUNCED the break up in June (right before the news came out that Amber had come to visit him on the set of The Lone Ranger. Pictures go back as far as January of Vanessa in Paris without her ring on. Both of them denied it for a while b/c they both had films coming out within six month of each other. In January Vanessa denied at an interview for her movie (not wearing her ring and this is on You Tube) and in May at the premiere of Dark Shadows Johnny denied it and then in June he made the statement. Reports were that he didn't want to take away from the film and they hadn't informed the children about making it public. They were already separated for some time before the announcement which must have been hard on both of them living a lie but I guess he had to announce it before he got accused of cheating. Obviously he met Amber and something clicked. and they kept in touch which he does with many of his co-stars. They do have a lot common, and Johnny seems happy now. Maybe it's a combination of a lot of things, including Amber but I have to think that becoming a family member of the Camanche Nation has helped him to make peace with himself and to slow down a little bit and relax.

They were so obvious during the Rum Diaries press tour.
Johnny and Vanessa were all to happy to sell us the "family man" product as long as the money was good for the next POTC. I lined his pockets with my young family supporting his POTC franchise and enjoyed his indie films on date night with friends. All of us believing he was real with family values only to discover he is more like Russell Brand.
We are now boycotting him like we did Tom Cruise for his cruelty in divorcing Nicole Kidman.

I'm a Johnny Depp huge fan. I've been following him for many years and it’s so sad what some people are doing with him now. They’re judging him, without any knowledge! And I also see that a lot of people have not been fair with Amber Heard. Do you know her, people? I'm sure not! She is not only a beautiful girl, she is much more: she is friendly, sweet, kind to people, intelligent and such a talented actress. And she have many interests in common with Johnny, don’t you know? People forgot that they filmed together "The Rum Diary" and many loves are born on set! So this is nothing new! And if some sort of strong feeling between these two sensitive and lovely people was born at a certain moment, it’s because this feeling found space to grow! As Johnny said: "If you love two people at the same time, choose the second one. Because if you truly loved the first one, you would not love another." He also said that marriage is from heart to heart and if Amber got into his heart that's because his heart was no longer committed to someone. It’s so obvious! Since many years ago, Johnny looked sad, lost, drinking a lot because he didn’t see a exit for that situation. Johnny was in love with his children and he didn’t want to lost them. But he wasn’t in love with Vanessa and it was so clear on his interviews! He talked about the kids all the time, but about Vanessa he only said things like that: “She’s a great Mother”, “she’s a person who loves much”... But he never said: “she’s the love of my life”. Since a long time things didn’t work between them. Recently Vanessa said: “If something in your love doesn’t work in the beginning, it will never work, so don’t push it”. She learned that she wasted her time with Johnny. They didn’t work as lovers anymore! They were just parents, not lovers! Just read their last interviews and it’s obvious. She loved him, but he didn’t love her back. He was there only for the kids. I believe he has sacrificed himself and his freedom for his kids sake for a long time. But he also deserves to rebuild his life (Vanessa as well) and find a new love! Now, people call Amber an opportunist. But she is often hiding herself, silently accompanying him on his gigs and movies, discreetly avoiding the paparazzi when they ask her about her relationship with Johnny. And, by the way, it was Vanessa (not Amber) who got pregnant less than three months after meeting Johnny for the first time! This never works because they didn’t know each other well enough, they didn’t even speak the same language! And suddenly, just as soon they will have a child together. A huge responsibility, before having enough time to know each other well, to enjoy each other and to be sure if they really wanted to be together for a long time. Since the beginning, somehow I knew it won’t last much long, and it lasted more long than I expected because Johnny was there for the kids. And he's still there for the kids because they're living with him in LA. Johnny is a great Father and he is spending a lot of time with them, taking care of them. But he is a man and he found a new love. His kids are already able to understand that, they aren't babies anymore. Johnny is so happy and relaxed this year, all smiles and with his eyes shining of joy! Of course he is not perfect (nobody is) but he is a good and humble person, with a beautiful heart! He’s been doing such good and remarkable things. I’m sure he never meant to hurt anybody. He's just continuing with his life, and I don’t see a mid life crisis here. He is a very-young-and-hot 49 years old man who deserves to be happy and I hope he finally will be!
I like Vanessa Paradis and don't find the game fair enough. Hope time and reality will bring a big bit of justice.
I've read these days on a site, a comment by a Johnny's fan with the wiser words about this case: "I really like Vanessa Paradis. Such a special woman, a real lady! she gave so much to Johnny- love, stability, children, “a reason to live” as Johnny said! But it was obvious since long time that “something” wasn’t working there.
