Squash: Farhan moves into Toronto quarters

Farhan will now face second-seeded Australian Ryan Cuskelly.

KARACHI: Pakistani qualifier Farhan Zaman claimed an unexpected place in the quarter-finals of the Squash Revolution Toronto Cup after ousting Mexican Arturo Salazar – who is ranked 35 places above him - in the opening round of the inaugural PSA World Tour Challenger 15 event in Toronto. Ranked 98th in the world circuit, Farhan produced a notable upset at the National Squash Academy after overcoming Salazar, registering a 15-13, 11-7, 11-8 victory in just 27 minutes. The Peshawar-based 19-year-old will now face second-seeded Australian Ryan Cuskelly, who defeated South African Shaun le Roux by 11-8, 14-12, 11-6 in 50 minutes.
