Just so you are up to date with the hits and misses in the fashion world, The Express Tribune brings a round-up of some of our favourite celebs from across the globe, who ranked high and low on our style-o-metre.

Deepika Padukone

The hot and sultry Deepika graced the red carpet at the GQ Men of the Year Awards 2012 in a Gaurav Gupta scarlet lace gown. The vintage style hair-do and glace cherry lips went well with the retro glam look. Even though there was too much red in her ensemble, the actor managed to carry it off fabulously.

Jennifer Akerman

Model and singer Jennifer Akerman kept it simple at the 2012 Environmental Media Awards by sporting a plain white dress with a nude clutch and nude platforms. The only thing that added a little colour to her otherwise bland look was her red pout and pink nail colour. The wavy open hair-do was not much help either.

Niamat Bakshi

The socialite donned a yellow dress for an event in New Delhi. Her accessories included a golden belt, golden clutch and a pair of drop earrings. She kept her eyes dark and lips pink. We absolutely love this colour on her!

Mandira Bedi

This actor-model-presenter had us green with envy at the GQ Men of the Year Awards 2012. The new mother looks yummy in a vibrant Herve Leger bodycon one-shoulder bandage dress in varying shades of red. The hottie knows how to glam up her look with minimal accessories, red lips and smokey eyes.

Nargis Fakhri

Nargis Fakhri of Rockstar looked seductive in a Roberto Cavalli aubergine gown at the GQ Men of the Year Awards 2012. The Bollywood actor styled her hair in curls and paired her outfit with a gold neck piece, which was better off lying on her dressing table. With an exquisite gown like this, only simple and minimal accessories can work.

Paula Abdul

Versatile Paula rocked a black mini dress at the 2012 Environmental Media Awards. Her large bow stood out as the dress’s main embellishment. Other than that, Paula jazzed up her look with simple black platform pumps and an Yves Saint Laurent clutch. Her up-do and makeup kept the look from being overdone.

Alia Bhatt

Actor Alia chose to keep her look ordinary and undertone on the sets of KBC. She wore a red gown with a gold cuff as the only accessory. Although, the 19-year-old looked cute in her simple attire yet she could have elevated her look with some elegant hair style or funky accessories.
