Murder, suicide?: Man held for ‘killing’ wife

ISLAMABAD: A woman was allegedly hanged to death by her husband on Wednesday. Shehzad Town police said they found Hajra Bibi, 27, hanging from a fan in her house in Chak Shehzad. Her husband, Khalid Usman, told police she committed suicide. However, he was taken into custody after the girl’s family named him in an FIR for her murder. Bibi had left her husband last month after a fight. She returned after spending a month with her parents. The couple was issueless. Police said they are investigating.
