Faulty transformer: Eight days without electricity spark protest

The protestors blocked Jalalpur Road and chanted slogans against WAPDA and the government.

HAFIZABAD: Mughalpura residents took out a protest rally on Wednesday for being denied electric power for eight days. The reason for the outage was said to have been a damaged transformer.

The protestors blocked Jalalpur Road and chanted slogans against WAPDA and the government. Some of the protestors said WAPDA officials were demanding Rs45,000 in bribes to repair the transformer.
