FAISALABAD:

A sub-divisional officer in the Jhang Circle of the Faisalabad Electric Supply Company was on Friday suspended from service over poor performance.

The suspension was ordered by Faisalabad Electric Supply Company (FESCO) Chief Executive Officer Iftikhar Ahmad over these officials’ failure to meet recovery targets. CEO Ahmed also issued show-cause notices to three executive engineers each of Jhang and Sargodha circles and 16 SDOs of Jhang circle and 15 of the Sargodha circle. Warning notices were issued to five SDOs of Sargodha circle.

Earlier, the CEO reviewed the progress in the drive to recover outstanding bills in both circles and directed the officials concerned to ensure that the targets set for the year were achieved. He said the money would be used to upgrade infrastructure and start new projects. He said he had received complaints from citizens about SDOs failure to respond to their calls to register complaints.
