LAHORE:

Chief Justice Umar Ata Bandial of the Lahore High Court on Tuesday sought a reply, by September 26, from the Public Health Foundation chairman on a petition that has challenged an employee’s dismissal from service.

The petitioner, Shiraz Ahmed, stated that he had been working at the foundation for many years. He said the chairman had dismissed him without issuing any show-cause notice, which is illegal. The court asked the respondent to explain how he had dismissed the petitioner without issuing a show-cause notice.
