Corruption: Education EDO being investigated

ACE started an investigation against Education EDO on charges of financial embezzlement in recruiting employees.

LAHORE: The Anti-Corruption Establishment (ACE) has started an investigation against Education EDO Pervaiz Akhter on charges of financial embezzlement in recruiting employees. Complainant  Syed Zeeshan Haider, a subject specialist at a secondary school, alleged the EDO had embezzled around Rs15 million in purchase of furniture. He also alleged that the EDO had recruited 140 employees in BS-1 to 4 in violation of merit.
