QUETTA: Abducted doctor Ghulam Rasool Kakar, who was kidnapped on August 1, has returned home on Friday, family sources told Express News.

A psychologist from Bolan Medical College Teaching Hospital, Dr Kakar was kidnapped from the Brewery Road area in Quetta, when he was on his way home from work.

He was kidnapped two days after surgeon Dr Din Mohammad Bangulzai was released by his kidnappers.

The Pakistan Medical Association (PMA) had organised protests and doctors boycotted Out Patient Departments in all state and private hospitals across the city against the kidnapping and criticised the government for its failure to rescue Dr Kakar.

Police and other investigative agencies remained silent on the incident of kidnapping, while the media was not briefed about the agencies’ efforts for the safe and early recovery of the doctor.

Thanks Allah that Doctor Sahib has joined his family. Salute to all the doctors who supported the cause of an innocent man and prevailed upon the criminals.

A J Khan@. He must have paid ransom money for his ” Safe Recovery” otherwise it is hard to come out of jaws of kidnappers who are backed by MPAs and MNAs and these demagogues are fully supported by agencies and law enforcing agencies so there is no miracle of his fraternity.

Lamentably, doctors (sorry Messiahs) not only boycotted OPD but also emergency ward which has to remain open even during war times. In this regards, they endangered the lives of other people of entire society for an individual who is said tobe ” Expensive Doctor’ charging exorbitant fees from poverty stricken masses. Hence, his fees also must be strongly condemned which he charges. Anyhow, there are several ways to protest. Doctors could hold sit-ins before the homes of MPAs and should have compelled them to recover ” Innocent Dr”. But what can be said…since the lives of poor
” Bloody Civilians” are of no values so should be treated as they deserve. It is because this reason, whenever honorable daughters of poor families are abducted, gang-raped or brutally killed, no such ” Humanitarian” group or union shuts emergency wards or boycotts its activities, no political party condemns such inhuman acts and even ” Impartial Media” does not bother to give such news more than oneline space. May Allah give us right path. AmenRecommend

Looks like that the ransom money is quietly paid by the government. I see a silver lining over the dark clouds of kidnapping for ransom business. Government by a decree or the act of parliament create provision for an Insurance Scheme for making ransom payments. The rich and filthy rich must buy this insurance and pay the necessary premium. Either the govt makes it a profitable business by arresting the kidnappers and their handlers or lose money.
