charged with negligence? is the dear Government of Punjab kidding with us? this is plain MURDER! Stop fooling with already demoralized nation please.

Oh ofcourse, we can understand, the former DPO Mr Chauhan must be having some strong political back – so the charges need to be light enough to be dissolved.

    Phew.

DPO should be charged with murder at the moment. The government failed to provide security to general public at large. The culprits should be hanged on the same square where those innocent teenagers were brutally murdered.

In response to this brutal act, following people should resign from the offices:
    Punjab Law Minister
    Punjab Interior Minister
    RPO Punjab Police
    Warning should be issued to:
    IG Punjab
    Federal Interior MinisterRecommend

Instead of being charged with negligence, he should be charged with negligent homicide or first-degree murder. By standing there and not taking any action, he facilitated the murder of the Butt brothers. He should be awarded exemplary punishment to serve as a deterrent against future police callousness and brutality.Recommend

What about the charge of “FUGITIVE”,remember earlier news were that he escaped the arrest. Probably he escaped and was undergoing suggestions and directions from his political figures. I think this arrest is also staged because all the crime has been documented on the video and the prime minister might have thought of the International pressure and they staged this murderer’s charges to the lightest degree……..very good Pakistan.

DPO Waqar Chohan and other police members who assisted this cruelty and those who have beaten these innocent brothers to death, all of them should have been behind the bars, because there is no question of any ambiguity.Recommend

Stop calling these innocent kids, these kids shot three people while trying to escape after committing a robbery. One of those persons shot got killed. To be more precise they had taken a family hostage in their home and shot the husband in the morning when he resisted their attempts to make a getaway.

Mobs don’t kill people over cricket matches. They just belong to a jamaat leader hence the rest is politics. Paid Jamaat Islami journalist are whipping up a storm to settle political scores. Even Nawaz Sharif has used this opportunity to remove DIG Zulfiqar Cheema who happened to be a very popular police officer and prevented PML-N from rigging elections in his area.

Most people who are commenting on this situation don’t belong to sialkot and don’t even have an inkling about the real facts.

These kids were armed and shot three people, one of them died. Mobs don’t kill people over cricket matches.Recommend

every police official that was present there and aided by not doing anything, and every individual who was a silent spectator, and every political/official authority involved in it, should be charged with murder and I wish they all should be beaten brutally after Friday prayer in-front of the deceased house by orders of court till death and their bodies must be hanged till maggots turn them into filth so no one ever dare to think such brutality and not even come even a single thought ever forever in anybody’s mind to be a silent observer of such a cruelty.

@ahmed: Firstly no robberer would plan for a robbery in the early morning hrs and secondly if we agree that they were invovled in the robbery but still being human(muslim) you cant beat another human(muslim) specially in the blessed month of Ramadan ruthelessly. According to Islam, whoever involved in beating(stoning, beating with rods, kicking) dos kids needs to be hanged till death and police officials must be expelled and imprisoned for 15 years.Recommend

yes i agree that no one should be lynched, but i can guarantee that if a killer is arrested in Pakistan then the courts eventually set them free. Cases against criminals last 20 years. Families are pressured or intimidated to withdraw cases. Our courts are a complete failure and they don’t function. The judges are corrupt.

People are not taking the law into their hands because they are criminals but because they know the sad facts about the country. If somebody killed three people i know in my street, then i can guarantee you that a number of people in my street would lynch those guys. This is how mob justice works.

The only reason people initially liked the taliban was because their justice system was quick. They weren’t corrupt. Killers would be executed immediately. Crime was dealt with effectively. Our courts are extremely corrupt and we need something similar at the moment to eliminate crime but without the taliban mentality.

I pay my respects to RPO Zulfiqar Cheema again who has killed many famous criminals of gujranwala in encounters. These criminals would always be set free by courts because no witness was willing to come forward. The brave soul shot them and made an example out of them. We need the taliban justice system, but without the taliban.Recommend

Its the same old story there in Pakistan! You cannot do anything about powerful people and specially ther Police. Its confiremd from different video sources that Police was involved, and DPO Chohan is seen in vieos, but he is bluntly lying that he was not present at the scene of crime when it was happening.

If he was trying to prove himself as a very strict police officer who can declare his own laws, then whta happened to him, why is lying, he should remember that he is CSP officer and he should show some dignity and face the music.

But its everywhere in Pakistan, it looks like that justice is a joke, and there is no law. I cannot say that its jungle’s law because we cannot see any lion, rather all seen is bunch of Hyenas and Vulchers.Recommend

ahmed a robbery did take place, and someone was killed, but these boys were not guilty. this was clearly a case of mistaken identity, the boys were mistaken to be the theives/killers. and i’m pretty sure u weren’t there when the alleged robbery and killing took place, so kindly refrain from making such ill-informed statements about the boys having been guilty of any crime. ALSO even if someone presumed guilty is captured, the police is supposed to arrest the suspect, not watch him or her being BEATEN TO DEATH. and keep in mind, everyone is innocent until PROVEN guilty. not that anything can be proven now though, considering these poor children are dead, and can’t defend themselves from their graves. may they rest in peace, and Allah give their family strength at this time.Recommend

They did not even have mobiles to call home otherwise these beasts could be stopped anyway. They were murdered to hide some henious crime already committed. They were just scapegoats, easy targets.

@Ahmed and others, it is very easy to give long lectures or write long articles on prevailing situation of law and security in Pakistan, on deprivation of general public in getting justice in time. But after this gruesome bestial animality, for which every Sialkotian – rather every Pakistani – should be ashamed to the core, every one should focus on the issue to get immediate justice for the boys and the bereaved family. In fact, thousands – rather millions – of us are now emotionally a part of that bereaved family. We all also want immediate, and true, dispensation of justice in the same coin, as the crime was committed by the society, by the (so-called) custodian and enforcer of law and by the authority on the place. If justice is dispensed properly, visibly and in a way satisfactory to the all the bereaved and shell-shocked people of the country and abroad, then it will automatically create deterrents against such gruesome naked display of lawlessness. If after the required justice is metted out, then we all shall have to work for the sustainability of justice. Then, we all have to ensure complete transformation of police and legal system in Punjab particularly, and in the country in general. For this, all of us have to work concertedly and continually. Are we ready for that?Recommend

@Ayesha, this is not a case of “mistaken identity”. It is a premeditated, orchestraed act of heinous crime. It seems that, Police and 1122 has used the mob to do the act of finishing the boys. May be there were some in the mob who were similarly interested in that. Anyway, hopefully, judicial commission’s finding may throw light on the facts.Recommend

Fellow Pakistanis, today we became a ‘barbaric’ nation, if not already. Today we exposed our true identity. Today we simply told the world “we are ready to be concurred”. Today Romans would have drooled on the fact that they could over-rule us with a baton. Today I would rather enslave to Romans then be associated with the barbarians! My friends, today was when a mother had to bear her lifeless sons in her arms and wondered how they really looked like! My friends, today was yesterday, tomorrow and everyday…..Recommend

In this grand debate, particularly in the views of myopic people, who are examplified by Ms. Ferdous Ashiq Awan, who want to see also the other side of the story, are missing one very important point, and that is the savaged boys were legally minor. Whatever crimes the minors commit, for that the laws all over the civilized world ensure different sets of treatments for them. This question arises, and takes an all important stance, because of the fact that, these two hapless minors were ‘punished’ in an police orchestrated act.

As far as Ferdous Ashiq Awan is concerned, people should start thinking if she at all deserves to hold any public office, particularly the position of a law maker, after siding with unnatural ‘justice’ and showing balatant disrespact for law.Recommend
