FAISALABAD: A 20-year-old girl committed suicide on Tuesday in Batala Colony after her parents turned down a marriage proposal for her. Police said Musarrat Bibi, daughter of Lal Din and a resident of Marzipura, wanted to marry a man she had had an affair with. They said the man had sent his parents to her house several times but her parents had turned down their proposal. On Tuesday, she hanged herself from a ceiling fan. The body has been sent for a post-mortem examination.
