Promoting tolerance: ‘Country needs educational revolution’

Youth is the future of the country and their role is vital in promoting peace: National Harmony Minister

ISLAMABAD: Minister of State for National Harmony Akram Masih Gill said that the country needs an ‘educational revolution’ and to make this possible the youth should play its due role. He said that terrorism can only be defeated by promoting education and tolerance in the country. Talking to APP, he said that the youth is the future of the country and their role is vital in promoting peace, love and harmony. When asked about the minorities, he said that they are being empowered in the National and Provincial Assemblies as their seats have been increased.

By having increased seats in National and Provincial Assemblies does not mean that the minorities have been empowered. The only time the minorites will be empowered is by removing laws that impinges on the rights of the minorites and that can only be done by the majority.
