No Olympics wild-card entry for Aisam

Full list of entries for the Tennis event by ITF does not have Aisam's name.

Aisamul Haq Qureshi’s dream of making it to the London Olympics 2012 failed to materialise when the International Tennis Federation (ITF) announced the full list of entries for the Tennis event, minus his name.

Despite his failure to be ranked in the top-10, Aisam was hoping his victory at the Gerry Weber Open will pave his way into this year’s London Olympics through a wild-card entry. However, he failed on this front.

Aisam, whose loss in the French Open semi-final meant he was not guaranteed a place in the London event, was hoping that his recent form would convince the ITF committee to include his name among the eight available wild-card entrants.

Interestingly, Aisam’s current and former men's doubles partners Jean-Julien Rojer and Rohan Bopanna have secured an entry to the London games.

Who deserves better than Aisam? The player who played US Open's final and French Open's semi final in last two years has not given a chance by ITF then I doubt sincerity and credibility of ITF towards Tennis. This seems like a typical sports decision against Pakistan.
