KARACHI:

The political conflict between the PPP and the PML-N in Punjab was the reason behind Gaddafi Stadium’s wall being brought down, according to a Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) official.

“People should keep politics away from sports because Pakistan’s reputation comes into question,” he said. The PCB spokesperson confirmed that during a meeting held last week with the local administration, no reservations were shown over the plans. “The grills did not provide enough security as the players and officials were exposed to the public. It was also not in accordance with the ICC’s standards. The act will further harm our reputation in the global cricket fraternity.”

why is PCB in lahore anyways? Shouldn't it be in Islamabad - like any other sports/govt head offices? BRING PCB to ISB! So our Prez can effectively monitor PCB management and activities. =P the last line was a joke if you had not already guessed it lol
