LAHORE:
A student was allegedly tortured to death in a madrassa in Lahore on Sunday. Punjab Chief Minister Shahbaz Sharif took notice of the incident and sought a report from the city police chief.
According to a complaint registered by one Mohammad Shafiq with the Shadbagh police station, his 12-year-old son, Mohammad Jamil, had been studying the Holy Quran at Madrassah Aziziya from administrator Qari Muhammad Jameel and an unknown teacher for at least four months.
A few days ago, Jamil complained to his mother about severe abdominal pain, caused by Qari Jameel’s alleged torture, according to the FIR. He was taken to four different private and government hospitals for treatment but he died on Sunday evening. Both Qari Jameel and the unnamed teacher escaped.

Had this been done by an American, there would have been a tsunami of comments, an uproar in the media and the inevitable demonstrations (inclusive of burning tyres) by our religious zealots. By since the culprit is a.................so devil may care
The sadist Molvi (as most of them are) should be given death penelty under Islamic laws and should be hanged. Justice Sharif may become his defence Lawyer.
Since this murder is done by our Moulvi brother, therefore, it does not deserve any news coverage or any uproar. Because all our reactions are reserved only for Americans

Enough pain has been inflicted by the madrassa style of education. Ban/reform it already.
No outrage for this child?? Does the death of this child not even warrant a comment because it doesn't involve a high-end conspiracy theory..??
