ISLAMABAD: The government formed a high powered jail reforms committee on Wednesday to prepare recommendations for revamping the jails system in Pakistan. The committee will work under the interior secretary and concerned home secretaries as well as IGPs, said Interior Minister Rehman Malik. He also said that security scanners are to be installed in jails. The decision took place in wake of the Bannu jail attack.
