Targeted attacks: Man gunned down in clash, two injured

A 22-year-old man identified as Salman died and 18-year-old Ilyas was injured in Sector 10.

KARACHI: On Monday, a supporter of the Muttahida Qaumi Movement was gunned down, while another man was injured in a cross fire between two groups in Orangi Town. A 22-year-old man identified as Salman died and 18-year-old Ilyas was injured in Sector 10 of Orangi Town, said the Mominabad police. DSP Tariq Malik said that Salman and Ilyas were injured in a clash between two groups and were taken to the Abbasi Shaheed Hospital. He confirmed that both men were MQM sympathisers. Immediately afterwards, Rangers conducted a search operation and detained 20 suspects and took them to an undisclosed location for further questioning.
