In K-P: Refugees lead to security complications

K-P IGP says police are striving hard to maintain peace and tranquility.

PESHAWAR: Khyber-Pakthunkhwa (K-P) police chief Muhammad Akbar Khan Hoti on Saturday said that maintaining law and order was a complicated task in the province because of the presence of millions of Afghan refugees. “Police are striving hard to maintain peace and tranquility,” IGP Hoti said, during a visit to training officers of the 39th common training programme in the Civil Services Academy. He also briefed officers about the police administrative structure, its working as well as efficiency to curb crime rates in the province.
