LAHORE:

The Kissan Board Lahore chapter has strongly condemned India for initiating work to link River Chenab with River Bias rendering Pakistan’s agricultural lands barren.

Addressing a farmers meeting here on Sunday, Kissan Board President Rasheed Manhala said that the linkage of River Chenab would be a major blow to Pakistan’s water reservoirs as well as the national economy.

He urged the government to take serious notice of the matter and approach to the International Court of Justice in this regard.

He also demanded the government to check increase in the prices of agriculture inputs in the larger interest of the farmer community.
