Cultural heritage: Rs100m to be spent on Mohenjo Daro

The department will also give permanent jobs to 24 employees at the national fund for the site.

The Sindh culture department has allocated Rs100 million for the conservation of the historical city of Mohenjo-Daro in Larkana, said a press release issued by the secretary of the culture department, Abdul Aziz Uqaili, on Monday.


The department will also give permanent jobs to 24 employees at the national fund for the site. According to Uqaili, the provincial government had set up an executive board after the historical site’s devolution from the federal government in 2011. It would also reprint Sir John Marshall’s books and repair his vintage car and tree plantations.
