Safeguarding assets: FESCO forms teams to check theft

FAISALABAD: Teams have been constituted by the Faisalabad Electric Supply Company (Fesco) to monitor the theft of distribution transformers in Faisalabad and monitoring aras. Tariq Mehmood Chattha, chief executive officer of Fesco, expressed his concern over increasing incidents of transformer thefts on Monday and appealed to consumers to identify any persons that may be involved. He said that only bonafide employees of Fesco were authorised to work on transformers, and any unidentified personnel should be reported immediately. According to Chattha, transformers worth millions of rupees have been stolen in more than two dozen incidents in Faisalabad.
