Lahore Stock Exchange hosts workshop

Brokerage house officials informed about latest techniques.

The Lahore Stock Exchange (LSE) two-day technical workshop, part of a series of workshops aimed at training staff of brokerage houses, concluded on Friday. The workshop was attended by staff including directors and CEOs of various companies.


During the certificate distribution ceremony at the end of the workshop on Friday, the Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer of the LSE Aftab Ahmad Chaudhry said that the purpose of the workshop was to contribute to the smooth functioning of brokerage houses.

He said that such workshops were designed to advance and attune the technical skills of brokerage employees to rapidly changing trends in IT. He added that such workshops could potentially improve the functioning capacities of brokerage employees which would ultimately help brokerage houses ensure long-term success of their businesses.

He also highlighted the LSE’s contribution to youth awareness initiatives through the Young Investor Programme which aims to achieve national financial literacy by educating the youth.

The initiative is an innovative nationwide campus outreach programme aimed at spreading awareness about capital markets and investments.
