Hurdle: ‘Mounting charges to hurt exports’

ANF recently imposed wrapping charges while the Civil Aviation Authority imposed handling facility charges.

ISLAMABAD: Pakistan may lose global market presence due to ever-increasing government charges that lowers international price competitiveness of its exports, said Islamabad Chamber of Commerce and Industry President Yassar Sakhi Butt on Tuesday.  According to Butt, the Anti Narcotics Force recently imposed wrapping charges while the Civil Aviation Authority imposed handling facility charges, which is further weakening the ailing export sector.
