LAHORE: Dozens of people protested against the Lahore Electricity Supply Company (LESCO) on Tuesday, blocking traffic on Wahdat Road for over an hour. Traffic was diverted from Naqsha Stop to the Muslim Town underpass after the protestors blocked the road with burning tyres and chanted slogans condemning Lesco for adding a fuel adjustment surcharge to their electricity bills and threatening to disconnect them if they do not pay. Muhammad Latif, a resident of Rehmanpura, said that the courts had ordered Lesco to remove the surcharge, but the company had added it anyway.
