Imran, whose party organised a massive rally in Lahore on Sunday, is visiting mighty neighbour China at the invitation of the Communist Party of China and will be in the country for two days.
Speaking to reporters at the Lahore airport on Monday, Imran had said in China he will observe how that country managed to pull out a large chunk of its population from the clutches of poverty.
In his meetings with the party’s leaders, he said that Pakistan and especially PTI has a lot to learn from the Chinese, particularly on the fronts of poverty alleviation, anti-corruption measures and accountability of officials and party leaders.
The leaders also agreed on cooperation between the CPC and PTI, including PTI sending members of its think tank teams to China to learn about the Chinese experience and model.
