Three rockets fired by unidentified persons; one official killed, one injured.

Express October 09, 2011

A security official was killed and another wounded in rocket attacks in Bannu Cantt on Sunday.

The first rocket which was fired by unidentified people, landed near the District Police Officer (DPO) house in Bannu, killing a security guard.

Separately, a security official was injured in a similar attack near River Kurram. A third rocket struck the Ramzak area of Bannu.

Law-enforcement agencies have cordoned off the area following the attacks.

Search operations have become commonplace in these troubling regions to clean the areas of the militant organisations. In Orakzai Agency, an operation had been launched in March 2010 to fight away the agency of militants. Security forces claimed that they had cleared most areas of militants except the Mamozai area in Upper Orakzai.

Looks like the strategic assets are itching for a pay hike...... or threatening to take Pak to strategic depths/deaths........... Hope there is a reversal of Pak policy of using terror as an instrument of foreign policy.
