Punjab governor’s PS removed

More shake up in bureaucracy notified.

The federal government has removed principal secretary to the Punjab Governor Sardar Ahmed Nawaz Sukhera and asked him to report to the Establishment Division.


According to a notification issued by the Establishment Division Major (retd) Tariq Javed Afridi, a grade 20 District Management Group (DMG) officer, has been appointed as Principal Secretary to the Punjab Governor Punjab in place of Sukhera, a BS-20 officer of the same group, who has been asked to report to the Establishment Division with immediate effect.

Meanwhile, Hasan Asad Alvi, a BS-18 officer of Police Service has been posted as Security Officer at the Prime Minister Secretariat. He was earlier serving in Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa.

Kaleem Imam, a BS-20 officer of the Police Service, has been posted as deputy police commissioner at step-5 with African Union/United Nations Hybrid Mission in Darfur, Sudan on deputation for a period of one-year. Imam is presently serving in the National Police Bureau (NBP). The Establishment Division has also issued him no-objection certificate for proceeding abroad.

Shahzada Taimur Khusro, a BS-20 officer of Pakistan Audit and Accounts Service, has been appointed as Joint Secretary Economic Affairs Division.

In partial modification of Establishment Division’s notification of September 17, it has been explained that Director General Maritime Security Agency Rear Admiral Waseem Akram would be entitled to avail the facilities admissible to flag rank Naval Admin Authorities stationed at Karachi.

Tariq Masud, a BS-19 officer of Lahore Development Authority (LDA), has been appointed as Administrator Jammu and Kashmir State Property, Lahore.
