The publishers of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) chief Imran Khan’s book ‘Pakistan: A Personal History’ announced on Thursday that they would be recalling the publication in view of “incorrect labelling of Kashmir on the map”, The Hindu reported.
Transworld Publishers - a Random House Group Company - made this announcement exactly a week after the book was launched in London. But the publishers had already recalled all advance copies of the book in India prior to the formal announcement in a pre-emptive move before any official complaint.
In the official announcement made through the office bearers of Khan’s political party, Transworld Publishers said the book was being recalled pending correction of the mistake. That the decision to recall the book was taken over the past 24 hours was evident from the fact that invitations for the launch of the publication in Islamabad next Monday were sent out on Wednesday evening.
According to senior PTI office bearer Shireen Mazari, who had sent out the invites, the mistake was made by the publishers as the map included in the book was not the one provided to them by Khan.

Shame on u. What about all our people killed in Kashmir. I think u don't care.@Nayab Khan:
@M S Sheikh: Bro I donot think u r rt bcz I dont believe that IK is a man or only leader it is a thinking, which will probably spread wn people will be educated enough to call spade a spade. Every cloud has a silver lining so wait for that moment.
@Zoaib: I think u r a wise guy
@Nayab Khan: i m feeling sorry fr ur comments.
It's publishing mistake.Do not blame Mr khan.Blame of those who want to separate PAk.He is not the best one but most better then the other ones!
Gooood luck SIr,our hopes with you.
Given that IK says that PPP is corrupt from head to toe, ANP is also not much different, Nawaz Shariff has been corrupt but he is not corrupt from head to toe, MQM is a violent party, there is no Mr Clean in Pakistan and IK cannot win alone then should not IK accept lesser evil and join with N League.
A case of making a mountain out of a molehill. It was a mistake, people should get over it rather than try looking for a conspiracy theory. Better yet, buy his book and actually focus on the content...
never mind IK.... u except u mistakes and that shows sings of greatness
@Nayab Khan
Nayab statement about kashmir with India. If this is what the error was in Imran's new Book he can say good bye to pakistan politics once and for all.
There are many with same thinking who have no future in Pakistan politics with appeasement mindset for India over kashmir.
Never mind imran people are plotting and conpiring against you to brring you down by hook or by crook because they are afraid of you. You are the only hope for pakistan.keep pluging through Allah will definately help you and us. We pray to Allah that you may help our beloved country recover from the damages inflicted by our politicians and our beloved army. We are anxiously waiting for you book hoping it will give us an insight into pakistan political scenario and help educate general public
realizing error and than correcting it is the sign of great people.never mind.
I think it is Imran Khan's farsightedness - Kashmir will eventually be in India
At least Imran Khan is right here...
IK should launch his PARTY for once.Why is it always about himself and now this BOOK with a probable Kashmir disaster.
Maybe he needs the revenues to support his campaign but isn't he mostly outiside Pakistan collecting funds for the same purpose.
This one man publicity cannot be sustained to impact coming elections.although I still give him a benefit of doubt all this endless media publicity on himself makesd one wonder where his focus is.
Pakistan knows about the issues Pakistan is waiting to know how he will run his potential goverment to resolve the known issues.If the book is about solutions then hurrah to IK if its again about his hunting trips to the north then it's adios.
Great going Khan Sahab!!!!! Another excuse to open the can of worms.
Never Mind, King Khan!!!!
Good Luck with your book. Waiting for the re-launch.
One can see where this is going in PAK.
Kashmir may be suitable for political rally in PAK, but it is also a death trap for him to become a national leader.
Khan is making a political move with right wing parties as a potential king maker in next election but he will get caught in his own writings which will restrict his raising in international politics.
