District emergency officers (DEOs) from all over Punjab met at the Emergency Services Academy on Saturday to review flood management in flood-prone districts and the handling of the dengue epidemic.
Rescue 1122 Director General Dr Rizwan Naseer directed the DEOs to ensure a uniform quality and standard of service in all districts by strict monitoring, feedback and regular exercises.
He also told the DEOs to make sure workers take strong preventive measures against dengue, as it was important they remain fit and healthy for rescue work.
They also discussed the issue of prank callers to 1122 and those calling for help with minor medical ailments.
Dr Naseer urged people not to call 1122 when the person was not sick or could be transported to hospital by private vehicles.

1122 is a blessing, ask people from Sindh, who doesn't have it (and their CM is least concerned). Kudos to Dr. Naseer and co!
