LAHORE: The Met department has advised organisers of Eid prayer gatherings to make standby arrangements in mosques since intermittent rains are expected on Eid day. Depending on the sighting of the moon, it may be noted that the eve of Eid or ‘Chaand Raat’ is expected to fall on 30 August and the following day is expected to be the Eid day. Rains might be heavy in the provincial capital of Lahore according to Met officials.
