TCL Communication has officially announced that they will be launching the TCL 10 Series of smartphones in the third quarter of the year.

The predominantly LED TV brand teased the TCL 10 series during CES 2020. The series includes TCL 10 5G, the TCL 10 Pro, and the TCL 10 L. The smartphones feature decent features, attractive design, and are reasonably priced.

TCL series vary in weight, display screen size, chipset, CPU, and GPU. The storage capacity of all three smartphones is also different. TCL 10 L has 64GB storage and 6GB RAM, TCL 105G has 128GB storage and 6GB RAM while TCL 10 Pro has the same.

Initial reviews reveal that the new smartphone series can hold its own in the mobile market.

TCL 10 Pro offers best screen among the series, with AMOLED capacitive touchscreen and 16M colours. The screen delivers vivid digital content giving a wider range of colour for realistic pictures. The display shows vibrant colours and an good contrast ratio for brighter whites and deeper blacks.

TCL 10 Pro’s main camera is 64MP, which allows users to take impressive shots and videos. The 24MP front camera is situated in a teardrop arrangement in the centre which features an AI engine that automatically adjust camera for each shot.

The smartphone comes with Snapdragon 675 and high capacity, 4,500 mAh battery and a fast charging option.

TCL promise that the curvy AMOLED display, slick design, and quad-lens camera will make a good first impression. Small touches like a 3.4mm headphone jack, Google Assistant button, and a wholly flush camera unit mark TCL 10 Pro as something out of the box.

As TCL makes its debut in the smartphone market, consumers might be headed into unknown territory. However, the brand expects to make a promising start and carve out a niche for itself.
