RAWALPINDI:

Three Christians were acquitted in a blasphemy case on Thursday.

A local court in Rawalpindi acquitted three members of the Christian community as the prosecutor failed to prove the case against them.

An Additional District and Sessions Judge Sarfraz Akhtar absolved Hector Haleem, Basharat Maseeh and Robin Maseeh from the charges of sending blasphemous text messages.

The RA Bazaar police had registered a criminal case against unknown persons on the complaint of Ghufran Sialvi in March last year.

The court also ordered criminal action against the investigation officer and the complainant after they could not prove the charges against the accused.

The judge should be complimented for upholding true justice.
