Pakistan is the 10th largest contributor to the Nuclear Security Fund, which is an example of its strong leadership and commitment towards nuclear security, according to the United Nations’ (UN) International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA). “Pakistan has had an action plan in place since 2006 to strengthen nuclear security,” Express 24/7 quoted IAEA Deputy Director-General Denis Flory as saying. “The IAEA emphasises the importance of national responsibility for security which Pakistan takes seriously,” he said, adding that Pakistan’s nuclear programme is safe and secure.
