How/when did you get interested in jewellery?
Jewellery for me has always been the best part about getting dressed — it just completes your look. The passion runs in my blood, as my grandmother had a huge collection she had gathered over time. I remember I would always admire how beautiful and complete she looked, be it her opal studs, a simple pearl necklace or a rose gold vintage watch.
What are your favourite pieces of jewellery (precious or costume)?
Choosing a favourite is always a challenge, but I constantly find myself reaching for my grandmother’s vintage watch on special occasions. My Cartier ‘Love Bracelet’, Michael Kors ‘Darci Pave’ rose gold watch, ‘Dragon Fly’ earrings and ‘Piercing Knight Ring’ by Enchantress are my favourites for everyday wear. Other than that, there is a ‘Leopard Necklace’ in our Enchantress collection that emanates exoticism and power in a way we at Enchantress re-imagine a woman of substance.

By the time I was in A-levels, I started making a list of things I would buy when I started earning. When I got my first salary, I instantly logged on to Micheal Kors’ website and ordered the Micheal Kors ‘Darci Pave’ rose gold watch and struck the watch off my list. Now when I wear it, I am encouraged to do more to fulfil all my aspirations.
Is there any piece you are emotionally attached to and why?
Every piece that I have has a story to tell. Either I have memories associated with the occasion I bought them on, or the concept is close to my heart, which comes alive through the design of that piece.
Is there anything on your radar that you want to get in the future?
My list keeps evolving, but I’ve definitely got my eyes on the exquisite ‘Panther’ collection by Cartier. I’d like to bring one of its fine jewellery sapphire and opal earrings home.
