LAHORE: Two different rallies were taken out by clerics in Lahore to protest against the killing of a man in the Chakwal incident on Rabiul Awwal 12.

A rally, led by Hafiz Khadim Hussain Rizvi, marched from Data Darbar while the second group of Tehreek Labaik Ya Rasul (PBUH) started their march from Lahore Press Club.

Both the rallies were escorted by heavy contingents of police to deal with any untoward situation.

Containers were placed alongside Mall Road crossings to stop the protesters from deviating from the pre-defined route.

The participants of the rally were holding placards and banners to condemn the incident.

While speaking to The Express Tribune, Hafiz Khadim Hussain claimed members of the Ahmadiyya community had opened fire on a peaceful rally that led to the death of our worker.

He maintained the police had failed to take action against the culprits.
