Tarbela Fourth Extension: WAPDA chief reviews construction 

Three generating units - each of them having capacity of 470 MW - were being installed

LAHORE: Water and Power Development Authority (Wapda) Chairman Lt Gen Muzammil Hussain (R) visited the under-construction Tarbela fourth extension hydropower project to review progress. During the visit, Hussain took a detailed round of various sites. Speaking on the occasion, he said that it was a matter of satisfaction that with concerted efforts of the incumbent management of Wapda, construction work on the project has picked pace. He directed the project management to maximise its effort for maintaining the pace of work, so that the project could be completed as per the rationalised timelines. Under the fourth extension project, three generating units - each of them having capacity of 470 MW - were being installed at Tunnel number 4 of the dam.
