SUKKUR: Three people were killed while two others were injured in two separate incidents at National Highway within the limits of the Sarhad police station near Mirpur Mathelo, Ghotki district, late Monday night.
Amjad Chachar, along with his friends, Farooq Chachar and Imran Chachar, was on the way to Mirpur Mathelo on a motorcycle from Sarhad. When they reached National Highway, a speeding trailer hit their motorcycle. As a result, Amjad and Farooq were killed on the spot while Imran was injured.
Police and relatives of the deceased rushed to the scene and were busy in the rescue process when a speeding vehicle of Rangers personnel hit the rescuers, killing Haji Mohammad Chachar on the spot and injuring Amanullah Chachar and a policeman, Abdul Majeed Khokhar.
The Sarhad police impounded the trailer and Rangers' vehicle and shifted the bodies and injured to Civil Hospital, Mirpur Mathelo.
