NEW DELHI: Actor John Abraham, who has appeared in films like Jism, No Smoking, Garam Masala and Force, said he is not keen on starring in a biopic at the moment.

Asked if he wishes to jump on the bandwagon, Abraham said, “No, I am not interested in doing biopics right now.”

His filmography may boast a wide variety of genres like comedy, drama, action and romance but he is still called an action star primarily. The Dhoom actor blames that on his physique.

“To become an action star you need to have the attitude of an action star. That I believe is all in your eyes, not the body, not the moves, nothing. So either you have it or you don’t,” he said.

Abraham, whose film Rocky Handsome came out recently, will next be seen in Force 2, a sequel to the 2011 Indian action thriller Force. The film also features actors Sonakshi Sinha and Tahir Raj Bhasin in pivotal roles.

Abraham considers the small screen a platform that gives wider reach to films than the big screen itself. “I think the small screen reaches out to far more people than the big screen does. I have noticed there are certain films, like Force ... It became a far bigger film when it released on television than it was on screen,” he said.

The actor-producer says while TV multiplies the reach of content by several times, the medium obviously cannot be compared to cinema.
